Provincial road - Borsele

For the necessary replacement of the public lighting at the access road and the slip roads of the N62 in the municipality of Borsele, BRISA and BRISA PLUS luminaires from Lightronics in different configurations were used. Nijkamp Aanneming had a lighting calculation made that links an even light image to traffic safety and energy savings. 

The BRISA and BRISA PLUS luminaires are applied along the access road to and the slip roads of the N62. "This is a busy road for traffic to the port in Vlissingen," says Joop IJpelaar of Nijkamp Aanneming, who prepared and carried out the project. "Initially, the request was to replace the conventional lighting with LED lighting on a one-to-one basis. However, we advised a lighting calculation was made first, so that we could really offer quality by providing customised lighting." 
 

Six different configurations were used throughout the project. "The BRISAs are fitted with 32 LEDs and have a lumen output of 5,670 lumens," says IJpelaar. "The BRISA PLUS luminaires have 32, 48 or 64 LEDs and a lumen output ranging from 4,320 to 14,800 lumens. The luminaires with the highest lumen output are used at a roundabout. The colour temperature is the same for all the luminaires. We have set this at 4,000K.
