With the switch to LED in communal areas, VVE De Poort van Bergambacht is realizing significant energy savings. The units of the existing PVX and TPB fixtures have been replaced by energy-efficient LED units. The Oppluskit from Lightronics ensured an easy switch.

Thanks to the Oppluskit from Lightronics, only the interior and the light caps of the existing TPB and PVX fixtures needed to be replaced. The Oppluskit, consists of an LED unit with new light cover that replaces the light source and light cover of the existing fixture. In total, the VvE installed 53 Opplus kits on its own. "In fact, we replaced the existing PVX and TPB fixtures one-to-one," Bouter explains. "We did the installation ourselves, which was easy because the new LED unit and the light cover fit perfectly. This allowed us to maintain the existing light points and prevented us from getting different sized fixtures, which would have involved the necessary mounting work. We also had the option of being able to adjust all the fixtures to different light levels.
